Students Council

The constitution of “Student Council” in a college is mandatory according to the provision under section 99 (3) of Maharashtra Public University Act 2016.

This act brought open elections into force vide Maharashtra Ordinance No. XXVIII of 2017, an ordinance to amend the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016. But due to lack of further directions from Govt. of Maharashtra and Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University, actual elections were not conducted.

Student Governance

The Students Council provides a platform for student representation and participation in institutional activities, subject to the provisions and directions applicable from the Government of Maharashtra and Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University.

The constitution and functioning of the Students Council shall be governed by the applicable provisions of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act and directions issued by the competent authorities.
