Established in 2019, the Department of Forensic Science is a prominent academic unit and the second department affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU) in this specialized field. The department is committed to delivering quality education and developing skilled professionals in the domain of forensic investigation and scientific analysis.Currently, the department offers three programs: two undergraduate degree coursesB.Voc. in Forensic Science and B.Sc. in Forensic Sciencealong with a Postgraduate Diploma in Cyber Security. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical training, enabling students to gain hands-on experience in real-world forensic applications.

The department provides exposure to key forensic techniques such as crime scene investigation, evidence collection and preservation, DNA profiling, forensic biology and toxicology, fingerprint analysis, questioned document examination, ballistics, and digital forensics. Emphasis is placed on developing analytical thinking, scientific accuracy, and ethical responsibility among students.
