Nature and Science Club


Introduction


National Science Day (NSD) is celebrated in Shri Shivaji Science College Amravati on February 28 every year. The day is celebrated to commemorate the discovery of the 'Raman Effect' by the great Indian physicist Sir CV Raman on February 28, 1928. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930 for the same.
National Science Day is celebrating in our institute, on the themes decided by the authorities, is to spread a message about the importance of science used in the daily life of the people. It is celebrating to give an opportunity to the scientific minded of the science students in our institution. To encourage the students of as well as popularize science and technology, every department of our college taking initiatives and organized various activities such as essay competition, quiz competitions, ¬¬¬¬science exhibitions, seminars, guest lectures, industrial visits, drawing and painting competitions, photography, etc. All the staff members and the students are actively taking part in this celebration. For the successful organization of various activities, our college constituted a separate committee under the head, “Nature and science Club”.
