Extension Activities

1] To throw light on essence of life and inculcate human values through counducting exam such as Bhagvadgita, GandianThoughts,Thoughts of Swami Vivekanand.
2]To develop communication skills of students through engaging lectures on Grammar and establishment of Language Lab.
3] To enhance scientific aptitude of students forbeing encouraging articles written by the students on the Scientific Point of View and publish them in the Wall Magazine ``Science Decoded``.
4) To reveal the thoughts depicted by the great social reformers among the students. To fulfill this purposedepartment taken initiative to publish the thoughts of great social reformer by publishing wall magazine ``AKSHARPARIMAL`` on the occasion of Teachers` Day.
5)Every year our department in collaboration with chemistry department organize the Induction Programme for the students of B.Sc I, M.Sc I, B.Voc I and BCA I. 6) Another the goal behind the organization of this programme at our college that the students should be taken interest in conservation of nature. On the occasion of Independence Day our department organized the programme of RakhiTieing on the the trees to the realize the students importance of environmental conservation.In the presence of Dr. NehaBhatkar, Dr. KavitaWatane, MsPunamBarabde `RakhiTieing ` on the tree programme happened on the campus of Shri Shivaji Science College.

Outreach

Since2014 our department has been organizing lectures in language laboratory . The goal behind the organization of lectures is many students which are coming from rural areas should be familiar with british accent. The second purpose behind the organization classes in language lab is that it is audio-visual presentation which is more effective in teaching. The third purpose behind the organization of lectures in a lab is whatever topic presented by the lectures are presented in a more effective way

6] The celebration of Marathi Bhasha Diwas on 27 February.
7] The celebration of birth anniversary of Shakespear on 23 April. On this occasion the journal will be published fulfilling the research thirst of the students.
8] The twice throughout the year` THE STORY TELLING COMPETITION` will be organized to enhance their communication skills and elocution skills.
