Introduction
The Department of Computer Science at Shri Shivaji Science College, in collaboration with Ibase Electrosoft Pvt. Ltd. and catalysed under the DBT Star College Scheme, successfully organized a One Week Short-Term Training Program (STTP) on “Recent Android and IoT Based Tools” from 28 July 2025 to 02 August 2025 at the A.V. Theatre of the college.
The primary objective of this training program was to upgrade and strengthen the knowledge base of faculty members in the rapidly evolving domains of Android application development and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. The program emphasized hands-on learning, practical exposure, and interdisciplinary integration, enabling participants to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications. The STTP was specially designed for Computer Science teachers affiliated with Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, with the aim of enhancing their competencies in emerging digital tools and modern teaching methodologies.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. M. M. Bhonde, Head of the Department of Computer Science. Dr. D. D. Khedkar, DBT Star College Coordinator, elaborated on the objectives and significance of the DBT Star Scheme in promoting innovation, research culture, and capacity building among educators. The program was presided over by Dr. G. V. Korpe, who motivated the participants to actively engage in the sessions and effectively integrate modern technological tools into their academic practices.
The technical sessions of the STTP were conducted by expert resource persons Mr. Mangesh Bharati, Director of MDB Electrosoft Pvt. Ltd., and Mr. Nakul Deshmukh, Director of Ibase Electrosoft Pvt. Ltd. The sessions included a combination of interactive lectures, live demonstrations, and hands-on practical activities focusing on Android programming, IoT sensor integration, and real-time app-based automation projects.
It is noteworthy that the first three days of the training sessions were conducted by Mr. Mangesh Bharati, who focused on fundamental concepts, Android application development, and introductory IoT modules. The last three days of the program were conducted by Mr. Nakul Deshmukh, who covered advanced topics including IoT integration, sensor-based systems, and project-based implementations. This structured division ensured a smooth progression from basic to advanced learning for all participants.

Objectives
