Introduction
The Department of Computer Science, Shri Shivaji Science College, Amravati, has consistently emphasized the importance of integrating academic knowledge with practical industrial exposure. In alignment with this vision, an industrial visit was organized on 9th October 2025 to Tantransh Solutions, Nagpur, a leading company engaged in software development, IT infrastructure, and digital innovation. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industry practices, providing students with firsthand insights into the functioning of a professional software firm.
A total of 19 undergraduate students from the Department of Computer Science participated in this educational trip. They were accompanied by four faculty members: Dr. U. S. Junghare, Mr. Y. V. Hushare, Dr. B. R. Jalamkar, and Miss. M. G. Chavan along with one non-teaching staff member, Mr. Sudhanshu Lande. The journey commenced early in the morning from Shri Shivaji Science College, Amravati, and was marked by enthusiasm, curiosity, and eagerness to learn.
Industrial visits serve as a critical learning platform that enhances a student’s comprehension of theoretical concepts by observing their practical implementation. The exposure allows learners to interact directly with professionals, understand the challenges of industrial operations, and appreciate the application of modern technologies. The visit to Tantransh Solutions proved to be an enriching experience as it provided students with in-depth knowledge of software development life cycles, agile methodologies, version control systems, and quality assurance practices.
Apart from industrial learning, the visit also included a nature-based travel component: a visit to Adasa and a short jungle trail. This segment was integrated to foster environmental awareness, group bonding, and stress relief among students. Incorporating leisure and nature experiences in academic tours helps participants appreciate balance, creativity, and mindfulness, which are essential traits for future professionals in any field.
The combination of technical exposure and environmental exploration made the visit holistic, aligning perfectly with the Department’s mission to produce competent, conscious, and compassionate graduates.

The agenda was thoughtfully structured to combine technical learning with real-world industry interaction. Students actively participated in a series of interactive sessions, live demonstrations, and discussions conducted at Tantransh Solutions, Nagpur.
The primary objective of the visit was to familiarize students with contemporary software development practices, project management methodologies, and the working environment of an IT organization. Through direct interaction with industry professionals, students gained valuable insights into career opportunities, required skill sets, and industry expectations. The visit also aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge acquired in classrooms and its practical implementation in real-world scenarios.
