Promotion
Promotion from Std. XI to Std. XII to Std. will be on the average of the marks scored in the four unit tests. home assignments and the two terminal examinations during the year. The promotion rules are as follows.

Minimum marks for passing in a subject are 35%, except for languages. For languages, the average of the marks scored in both the languages when taken together should be at least 35%

Marks for theory and practicals in a subject which has two parts shall be taken together, and the total of marks will be considered for a pass or a distinction.

If a candidate who appears in all the subjects at one and the same examination fails in one or more subjects, and has deficiency of marks in one or more subjects, he/she shall be condoned to a maximum of 30 marks in the aggregate, but not exceeding 10 marks in any one subject.

The result of Std. XI shall not be decided exclusively on the basis of the marks obtained in the annual examination. According to instructions from the Education Board, equal weightage shall be given to : a) First Terminal examination b) Second Terminal Examination and c) Year work, including practicals, unit tests, other assignments. The final result of the student shall be decided on the average of the above three, i.e. (a+b+c)/3

There shall be no re-examination for students who are declared unsuccessful.

All students promoted from Std. XI to Std. XII will have to fill in application forms as notified, to finalise/regularise their admission
