Govt. of India Scholarship

 

The Govt. of India offers annual scholarship to senior and junior college students belonging to the scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, Vimukta and nomadic tribes, and Special Backward classes.

 

The income limit for the scholarship is Rs. 49,000 per annum.

The application should be accompanied by an income certificate issued by the Tahsildar, along with copies of the caste certificate, marks list and transfer certificate.

As per G.R. No. OBC/2002/P.No.414/MVK-3 of May 29, 2003, this scholarship is also available to other backward classes of Maharashtra effective from 2003-04

Under the same rules and regulations as above. Govt. of India per G.R. No. OBC/2002/P.No.414/MVK-3 of May 29, 2003

Students of senior and junior college students belonging to the scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, Vimukta and nomadic tribes, Special Backward classes and other backward classes who do not fall within the specified income limits should apply for freeship.

Govt. of India Free-ship

 

Students of senior and junior college students belonging to the scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, Vimukta and nomadic tribes, Special Backward classes and other backward classes who do not fall within the specified income limits should apply for free-ship.

Along with the documents mentioned for the GOI scholarship, the applicants should also attach a Non-creamy Layer certificate.

Forms for GOI scholarship are available in the Consumers' Co-operative Stores on the college campus.

The freeship application forms, available in bookshops, should be submitted in  duplicate. All duly filled applications should reach the college office by August 31, 2007.

Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship

 

As per GR No. EBC/2003/p.No. 115MVK -2 of June 11, 2003, the Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarshi has been implemented since 2003-04.  This scholarship is available to SC, NT and SBC students who have passed the Std. X exams with 75% marks or more. Such applicants should get their names registered with the college office immediately after the confirmation of their admission.

Govt. of Maharashtra Open Merit Scholarship

 

Students who have scored 75% marks in Std. X and seeking admission in Std. XI, and  students who have scored 60% marks (or more) in Std. XII and seeking admission in B.Sc. Part I are eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship is open to all, irrespective of caste and income limits. Application forms should reach the college office by August 30, 2007 or within ten days of confirming admission.

National Merit Scholarship

 

ScholarshipStudents who have figured in the merit list of Std. X, and whose parents' income is below Rs. 25,000 per annum are eligible for this scholarship. Applications should reach the college office by August  20, 2007.

Students' Welfare Fund Scholarship

 

Students of B.Sc. Part I or M.Sc. Part I, who have scored a minimum of 50% marks in their qualifying exams, and whose parents' income is not more than Rs. 48, 000 per annum are eligible for this scholarship. Only students who have certificates of participation in the NSS, NCC or Cultural or Sports activities are eligible to apply. Last date for submission of application is September 20.

Eklavya Financial Assistance

 

As per GR No. SCH/1095(81) M.E-4 of February 7, 1996, this facility is available to students pursuing post-graduate studies.

The applicant should have scored 70% marks at the graduation examination, and the parents' income should be less than Rs. 3,50,000 per annum. Last date for submission of application is August 30, 2007.

Scrutiny of Caste certificates
 

Students of Stds. XI and XII are required to get their caste certificates scrutinized. Students belonging to SC, ST, NT, VT, and OBC should collect the application forms from the college office and submit it before August 30, 2007.

 

*Attach the following documents with the application form:

1 Caste Certificate 
2 School Leaving Certificate
3 A copy of the Kotwal book (if required), and any other document required by the college.

Students are advised to read the notice board for other government concessions issued from time to time.
